RPO Hosts Summer Pavilion Open House For Inside Peek At The Transformation

Rochester, NY – The transformation of the large pavilion at the corner of East Main and Gibbs Street from a jazz festival site to the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra’s Center City summer venue is on schedule and in full swing for the Friday, July 10 opening of the Orchestra’s nine-concert series. For those interested in seeing what the RPO patron experience will be for its blues, Broadway, rock, and classical concerts, the Rochester community is invited to an RPO Open House at the First Niagara Center City Pavilion on Wednesday, July 8 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. There will be an opportunity to check out the stage, seating, on-site box office, as well as to purchase RPO Pavilion concert tickets on the spot.
New in the air-conditioned Pavilion will be ticketed seats in sectioned rows with usher assistance as well as elevated seating, a capacity for 2100 patrons, more French doors, and a variety of concession vendors.
