You and your family will love listening to the RPO’s new children’s CD The Story of Babar & A Family for Baby Grand!
Narrated by acclaimed actor John Lithgow, The Story of Babar will open up your child’s imagination as this well-loved children’s character goes on a magical, musical journey from the jungle to the big city, and back home again—all set to music performed by the RPO and led by Michael Butterman, Principal Conductor for Education and Outreach.
Also on this spectacular CD is the world premiere recording of A Family for Baby Grand, which is narrated by musician (and mom) Jennifer Carsillo. Your children will love hearing the story about a little Baby Grand piano who—just like Babar—ventures out into the world and eventually finds an orchestra. With music by Brad Ross and story by Sharon Dennis Wyeth, Baby Grand introduces your kids to the unique sounds of various instruments and demonstrates what they sound like when played together.
CDs are $15 each(not including sales tax) and the CD goes on sale May 22, 2011.
