A ragtime show featuring the music from the 1920’s in celebration of our Centennial season with works from Joplin, Cab Calloway, Jelly Roll Morton, Gershwin, and others.
“The start of a new season is always a special time for me. This year, I’m both excited and humbled to be able to celebrate 30 incredible seasons as Principal Pops Conductor of your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
I feel extremely fortunate to call the RPO my hometown orchestra – an orchestra that can not only blow the roof off Kodak Hall but can equally touch the lives of so many underprivileged and underserved communities throughout Rochester with great meaning, compassion, and empathy.
I’m incredibly proud to have been asked this year to lead the RPO Centennial Season’s “100 Acts of Giving Back,” a yearlong initiative designed to focus on the transformative work we do off the stage – with our local educational, community, and Care & Wellness partners – by sharing music that moves us with the communities that inspire us all. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this incredible journey for the past 30 years!”
