Fasten your seatbelts as vocal powerhouse Shayna Steele blows you away honoring American Divas who preceded her, including Whitney Houston, Stevie Nicks, and Aretha Franklin. In “American Diva”, stage, screen, and recording star Shayna Steele brings her eclectic style – ranging from pop to soul to rock – to pay homage to the musical divas who inspired her, also including the legendary Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson and Big Mama Thornton. Additionally, Shayna shares her original music arranged by RPO Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik, reminding us why she’s an American Diva in her own right.
This concert weekend marks the debut of Shayna Steele’s new show American Diva.
Shayna Steele has released 4 studio albums: I’ll Be Anything (2009), Rise (2015), Watch Me Fly (2019), and Gold Dust (2023).
Shayna Steele debuted on Broadway as a swing/understudy for Joanne and Mimi in Rent (1996). She went on to play a Disciple in the original cast of Jesus Christ Superstar (2000 revival), a Dynamite in the original cast of Hairspray (2002 revival) and a Performer in Hair (2004 revival).
