J.C. BACH Symphony in G minor Op 6 No. 6
SHOSTAKOVICH Cello Concerto No. 1
MOZART Symphony No. 40
Although J.C. Bach’s Symphony in G minor is perhaps his darkest piece, it is considered to be a signature work of the 18th century. Mozart wrote his Symphony No. 40 in 1788. Sometimes referred to as the “Great G minor Symphony,” to distinguish it from his Symphony No. 25 or the “Little G minor symphony,” it was one of Mozart’s most greatly admired works.
