2018/19 Season is Jeff Tyzik’s 25th with the RPO

October 26 & 27 – Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre

 

Rochester, NY – Join your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) for two performance of Broadway Today led Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik; the 2018-19 Season marks Tyzik’s 25th season with the RPO. The concerts are Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th at 8 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

 

Broadway Today brings the newest young talent from The Great White Way to Rochester! The incredible performers, Mamie Parris (CATS, Wicked), Rick Faugno (Fosse, Jersey Boys), and Leah Horowitz (Follies, West Side Story) come straight from Broadway to join your RPO in an extraordinary evening that revisits classic songs audiences know and love. Plus, new hits from today’s most exciting shows.

 

Tickets ($24-$112) can be purchased online at rpo.org or by calling the RPO’s Patron Services Center at 454-2100.

 

The 2018/19 Season is presented by Rochester Regional Health and the Dawn and Jacques Lipson Cancer Institute. The RPO Pops Series is sponsored by Canandaigua National Bank & Trust and Wegmans.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has been committed to enriching and inspiring our community through the art of music since its founding in 1922. The RPO presents approximately 150 concerts and broadcasts a year, serving up to 170,000 people through ticketed events, education and community engagement activities, and concerts in schools and community centers throughout the region. Music Director Ward Stare joins the ranks of former notable RPO music directors, including Eugene Goossens, José Iturbi, Erich Leinsdorf, David Zinman and Conductor Laureate Christopher Seaman. Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik, now in his 25th season, has earned a national reputation for excellence in pops programming during his tenure with the RPO. The RPO reaches more than 15,000 children through its specific programs for school-aged children.
