New Staff and Musician Changes and Additions at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to announce changes and additions on both the administrative and performing fronts.

Ronald L. Steinmiller of North Chili has been named Vice President of Finance and Administration, effective March 31.  Functioning as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Steinmiller will be responsible for establishing, interpreting and managing policies, procedures and guidelines for the successful financial and administrative operations of the Orchestra. In addition, he will oversee human resources, information systems and facilities.  Mr. Steinmiller is currently the CFO with the Rochester Sports Group, where he is responsible for finance and staff management for five professional sports teams and a stadium. 

City resident David Henderson, Manager of Patron Services, will be expanding his title to reflect additional promotional duties within the marketing department.  His new title will be Manager of Patron Services & Special Projects.  He will be working on enhancing the RPO’s concert experiences through added-value events as well as on projects such as recordings and cross-promotional opportunities with other organizations.

On the performing side, Penfield’s Shannon Nance, a member of the RPO’s second violin section since 1994, was awarded the position of Assistant Concertmaster as the result of a national audition, effective immediately.  At the same audition, Rochester city resident Patricia Sunwoo, a B-Contract (part-time) RPO violinist since 2002, was awarded the position of Third Chair Second Violin, moving into Ms. Nance’s former position.
