Rochester Philharmonic Pops Season Kicks Off with Cirque Returns!

ROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) kicks off the 2011-2012 Pops Season with Cirque Returns! on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.

The acrobats from Cirque de la Symphonie “drop” into the theatre for an all-new performance to the music of John Williams, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, and Sibelius.  Cirque de la Symphonie artists include the most amazing veterans of exceptional cirque programs throughout the world—aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen.  Each of their performances is uniquely choreographed to the hall.

To purchase tickets ($15 – $90) to this or other RPO events, visit the Eastman Theatre Box Office, call 454.2100, go online to www.rpo.org, or visit area Wegmans locations.  Pit seats are still available!

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Pops Series is sponsored by Canandaigua National Bank and Fibertech Networks.  Opening Weekend: Cirque Returns! is sponsored by Key Bank.
