Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) will reveal its entire 2018/19 season with its fourth annual Season Preview Concert on Tuesday, January 30 at 7 p.m. in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.  Co-emceed again this year by Music Director Ward Stare and Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik, the 75-minute concert will feature the full Orchestra on stage playing excerpts from its upcoming season (opening in September, 2018). Maestros Stare and Tyzik will share their Philharmonics and Pops picks, as well as the 96th’s season’s exciting Special Concerts and guest artists. Sunday Matinee and OrKIDStra programming will also be announced during this fast-paced, variety-filled concert, and subscription packages will go on sale the following morning.

Admission to the Season Preview Concert is FREE, but advance tickets are required. Those interested should reserve their general admission seats beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9 at 10 a.m. by phone at (585) 454-2100 or in person at the RPO Patron Services Center (108 East Ave., Rochester).

“This is a wonderful event for the RPO and the community,” says Stare, who originated the unique, live preview concerts in 2015, his inaugural year as music director. “Jeff and I had a blast co-hosting last year and I’m thrilled to share the stage with him again!”

“Ward and I can’t wait to share our excitement about next season in this informal, fun concert, where we turn Kodak Hall into our ‘living room’ for the evening,” adds Tyzik, who will celebrate his 25th anniversary with the RPO in 2018/19.

Subscription packages will go on sale on Wednesday, January 31st at 10 a.m. Subscribers have access to a wide range of subscription options and price points, and are guaranteed consistently lowest ticket prices, best seats, free ticket-exchange privileges, priority access to RPO Special Concerts, and more.
