RPO Appoints Ann M. Huston as New Board Member

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra has appointed Ann M. Huston as a new member to its Board of Directors.  Ann Huston is President of Ann Huston Corporation, a national healthcare consulting organization specializing in the areas of enterprise strategy, strategic partnering and organizational effectiveness.  Ms. Huston’s term will expire in 2010.

Ann Huston has compiled more than 20 years of industry experience including various senior executive roles within the healthcare system.  Prior to starting her own company, Ms. Huston was a partner with Ernst & Young and subsequently with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.  She is a former high school teacher and holds a master’s degree in health finance and management from the Johns Hopkins University.

Now in its 84th season, the RPO inspires and enriches the community through the art of music.  The Orchestra is passionately dedicated to outstanding musical performance at the highest artistic levels, and has a unique tradition of musical versatility, commitment to music education in the broadest sense and a deep and enduring engagement with the community.  The RPO has been honored with the New York State Governor’s Art Award, and two ASCAP awards for adventurous programming in recent years.
