Staff Changes Afoot at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra has announced a number of recent staff changes and additions in the departments of Information Systems, Development, Patron Services and Finance.

Nancy Atwood-Stone, former Annual Campaign and Donor Information Manager, has been promoted to Director of Information Systems, overseeing database administration and technology. During her seven-year tenure at the RPO, Ms. Atwood-Stone is credited with maintaining the integrity and timeliness of the database and supervising the detailed process of acquiring new donors. She is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in finance.

As of Monday, September 24, Katherine Wahl began in her new position as Manager of Corporate, Foundation & Government Grants, a change from her previous position as Director of Patron Services. An RPO staff member since 1998, Ms. Wahl has successfully reorganized, developed and led all aspects of service to RPO patrons. Her background in sales, marketing and customer service will further strengthen the RPO’s relationships in the corporate community. Ms. Wahl succeeds Ellen Wayne, who resigned from the RPO to become Executive Director of Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes in Geneva.

With Ms. Wahl’s change of position comes the promotion of David Henderson to Manager of Patron Services from Manager of Patron Relations. A familiar face at the box office, Mr. Henderson also helped spearhead the RPO’s continuing effort to expand the concert experience. His new role includes oversight of daily operations at the RPO Box Office.

Joining the Finance Department as Staff Accountant is Mark Pignagrande, who begins at the RPO on Friday, September 28. Mr. Pignagrande was the Staff Accountant for the last four years with Eber Brothers Wine & Liquor. He has extensive experience in all accounting duties, and will complete his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting this spring from Empire State College.
