UPCOMING ROCHESTER PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA CONCERTS
Peter VS. The Wolf February 13
A Night out with the Boys Featuring Dee Daniels
February 11 and 12
ROCHESTER – You’ve heard there are two sides to every story. Join Principal Conductor for Education and Outreach Michael Butterman (The Louise and Henry Epstein Family Chair) and the RPO for Peter VS. The Wolf – a clever take on the Prokofiev’s timeless Peter and the Wolf. This time, audiences act as the jury and are treated to the story from the wolf’s perspective. The concert takes place on Sunday, February 13 in the Performance Hall at Hochstein. Actors and storytellers include Rob Kellogg (son of Principal Trombone Mark Kellogg and Flute Joanna Bassett) as Peter, Jay Stetzer as The Wolf, and WXXI’s Chris Van Hof as the Judge. Children’s tickets are $10.
That same weekend, on February 11 and 12 in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik leads the RPO in A Night Out with the Boys featuring vocalist Dee Daniels. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the program includes the music of Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Nat “King” Cole, and Cole Porter. Tickets start at $15.
To purchase tickets, visit the RPO Box office, call 454.2100, or go online to www.rpo.org.
