SPECIAL FAMILY FRIENDLY START TIME!

Experience the beloved family film classic like never before with the full score performed live by your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Scott Terrell. When a cyclone rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her dog Toto are whisked away to the magical Land of Oz. As they follow the yellow brick road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, they meet Scarecrow, who needs a brain; Tin Woodsman, missing a heart; and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. To earn the Wizard’s help, the group must return with the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West.

PRE-CONCERT ACTIVITIES

NEW! All Things Oz Lobby Experience

Get whisked away to the magical Land of Oz as the West Herr Auditorium Theatre lobby is transformed into the Emerald City, complete with a photo backdrop and a select group of movie artifacts including a replica pair of Ruby Slippers, a prop violin signed by munchkin fiddler Mickey Carroll, a munchkin actor appearance costume worn at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, and more, compliments of our friends at the All Things Oz Museum.

The All Things Oz Museum is located in Chittenango, NY, the birthplace of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum. The museum houses about 1,700 items on display at all times out of its 16,000+ piece collection. It features items from across the Oz universe including the Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, Wicked, and many other versions of the American fairy tale.

The museum has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX national news, as well as in top publications throughout the country. Each year, they host the world’s largest and longest running Wizard of Oz themed festival called Oz-Stravaganza. The festival is scheduled for June 6-8, 2025.

The All Things Oz Museum is a part of the International L. Frank Baum & All Things Oz Historical Foundation. The foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, as well as a chartered historical foundation in NY.
