Dedicated to the Community
We believe that all residents should experience music engagement and learn throughout their lives. The foundation for education and community engagement began with our founding nearly 100 years ago. We continue this belief through the hundreds of concerts we present and participate in each year, many of which are free to the community.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Our founder, George Eastman, believed that all Rochester residents should experience musical learning throughout their lives. With that in mind, the RPO became one of the first orchestras in the country to place an emphasis on music education for all members of our community.
This dedication to lifelong musical engagement continues today. Each season, the RPO presents nearly 50 concerts and more than 200 related events that serve a diverse population totaling approximately 100,000 children and adults. Our programs are comprehensive in their content and most are offered free of charge.
