Make a Difference in the Community
Hundreds of volunteers dedicate their time to help us in our mission to educate, inspire, and engage the community through the art of music.
As a volunteer, you gain an ‘inside look’ at what goes into each RPO performance while working with individuals who share a common passion for music and education. Our volunteers can play many roles in our programs, from planning and executing to serving as educational ambassadors to young children.
Some of our available opportunities include:
Greet and assist concert attendees in finding their seats.
Gibbs Street Assistant
Help concert goers safely exit their car and make their way to the theatre.
Provide car services to eligible concert attendees 55+ to and from performances.
Assist in planning, obtaining corporate sponsorships and create ways to thank supporters for our fundraisers.
Provide assistance to the RPO staff with data entry.
Work with the staff to run errands and provide assistance in building maintenance.
Box Seat Concierge
Assist Box Seat patrons in their needs and offer RPO’s premium services.
Responsible for the monitoring of the backstage door during Orchestra rehearsal.
Assist the RPO office through clerical tasks, preparing mailings, data entry and more.
Help with serving and furnishing refreshments at events.
Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra
Help the RPYO manager and assist with special projects.
