Community Engagement

Throughout our regular and summer seasons, the RPO provides music to local communities who may not have the opportunity to attend a concert at Eastman Theatre. Anchored by our 100 Acts of Giving Back initiative, the RPO brings music that moves to where it’s needed most.

100 Acts of Giving Back

A yearlong celebration of our Centennial Season, the RPO's 100 ACTS OF GIVING BACK will highlight the ways in which music can brighten days, inspire creativity, and change lives both with and beyond the baton. Your RPO will participate in and sponsor a wide variety of special performances and events including open rehearsals, hands on educational opportunities, community engagement programs, and so much more. From our Care and Wellness Initiative to our Orchestral Program for Urban Students (OPUS) to our Summer Concert series in parks throughout our region we hope everyone will find an Act of Giving Back to enjoy.
