Megan Kyle

Megan Kyle performs as an orchestral musician, chamber musician, soloist, improviser, and new music specialist throughout Western New York. She has held the position of Third Oboe in the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since 2023. Megan regularly performs as a substitute with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and has also appeard with the St. Louis Symphony, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and the New World Symphony, among others. She was previously a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Megan is also a member of new music ensemble Wooden Cities, musical research group Null Point, voice/oboe duo Senso di Voce, and oboe/piano/violin/cello quartet The Evolution of the Arm. She holds a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from DePaul University (2013), as well as a B.M. in Oboe Performance and B.A. in English from Oberlin Conservatory and College (2011). Her principal teachers were Eugene Izotov, Robert Walters, Alex Klein, and Louis Rosenblatt.

She teaches oboe and English horn at SUNY at Buffalo.
