Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre

Parking is available around the theatre including the East End Garage, surface lots, and street parking. *East End Garage parking notes: Parking is $7 and CASH ONLY. Please allow for extra time as the Scio Street entrances are the only ones open to traffic and staffed with parking attendants. *Surface lot parking notes: The parking lot at the corner of Main and Gibbs is a pay-to-park with a parking machine. Please allow for extra time to pay at the machine if you plan on parking there.

DESCRIPTION

Proclaimed “a phenomenon” by the Los Angeles Times and “one of the best pianists of his generation” by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Stewart Goodyear performs Liszt‘s blistering First Piano Concerto. Guest Conductor Vinay Parameswaran leads your RPO in Elgar‘s great and noble Enigma Variations, a Victorian Facebook of family and friends. And Anna Clyne was moved by French and Spanish poetry to compose her vivid musical reverie, This Midnight Hour.

Hosted by Sujatha Ramanujan and Allyson Hiranandani, RPO Board members
Join us following Saturday’s Elgar’s Enigma concert in celebrating Maestro Vinay Parameswaran’s return to Rochester and the Indian community. With family roots in Kerala, India, Parameswaran’s artistry and energy serve as a source of inspiration for all backgrounds. Vinay Parameswaran is internationally recognized as one of the most versatile young conductors on the podium today, proving impressive command of a score and often earning standing ovations for his dynamic and energetic conducting.
Cuisine by Thali of India and cash bar (one complimentary drink ticket included). Tickets to the reception are $50 per person.
