The Eastman Theatre Programme announces “a new symphony orchestra, to be known as the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, has been organized.”
Eastman Theatre Opens to the Public – 1922
The Eastman Theatre opens to the public, with the orchestra’s program including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. The orchestra also provides the symphonic underscore for the silent feature film The Prisoner of Zenda.
First Full Season – 1923
