RPO Kicks Off Holiday Challenge

RPO KICKS OFF HOLIDAY CHALLENGE

Anonymous donor will match donations
up to $250,000 through December 31

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) kicks off a $250,000 Holiday Challenge today to benefit its 2022-23 Annual Fund this week. All pledges or donations made through December 31, 2022, will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000, thanks to a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous.

“The programs that serve thousands of children and adults in our community are the most dependent upon philanthropy because they’re provided free of charge,” explains RPO Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik in an appeal letter that will reach thousands of RPO patrons and supporters in the next few days. “Ranging from education programs for tens of thousands of students; to the Care and Wellness Initiative serving the Alzheimer’s Association, Golisano Autism Center, Mary Cariola Children’s Center, and many other organizations; to ensemble and orchestral concerts from neighborhood schools and parks to Parcel 5 – these important programs only survive with your support.”

“With our centennial anniversary fast approaching, your RPO looks forward to our next 100 years of bringing the highest level of artistry to the Greater Rochester Region,” adds RPO President & CEO Curtis L. Long. “This is a wonderful opportunity to make every donation and pledge go twice as far during this season of giving.”

Those wishing to contribute may visit www.rpo.org/donate, call 58-454-7311 x249, or email development@rpo.org.
