RPO Names Ellen Wayne as Manager of Grants

Rochester, NY– The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to announce that Ellen Wayne joined the RPO staff on July 17, 2006 as its new Manager of Corporate, Foundation and Government Grants.

Ellen Wayne brings to the RPO more than 15 years of department and senior level management experience in nonprofit and social services organizations. Ellen most recently served as Director of Development and Executive Director of the ABC Foundation for Action for a Better Community, Inc. in Rochester. Ellen’s demonstrated success in researching and writing grants, leading major event fundraising initiatives, and cultivating corporate sponsorships complements the RPO Development team’s efforts to sustain current and develop new public and private funding sources.

Regarding Ms. Wayne’s hiring, RPO Vice President of Development Janet Newcomb shared the following: “Ellen brings the energy, drive and experience that will help us sustain the growth in revenue needed to support the RPO’s strategic plan for ensuring our vibrant future.”

A native of Elmira and resident of Wolcott, Ellen received her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the SUNY Brockport, and her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Scranton (PA).
